Asus notebooks. Are they reliable and how is the services?

Asus model X41FA
Bought this a few years back for my son's school. Was reliable until recently in Mar, the screen wasn't able to turn on despite several attempts.
Experience with Asus Service centre
Sent in to change screen and battery in mid March. Still didn't get notebook after 1 month. Was told not parts and need to order. Then was told parts were wrong.
On 19 April I gotten message from service centre stating notebook is ready for collection. Went to collection on 20 April and can't collect. Was told that it's the power button issues and they will create a new repair order and order the parts.
Feeling disappointed with such low level of service, I wrote an email to Jonathan Tsang who is Asus' President on 27 April. 2 days later, the operations manager called me and apologised to me. He said he will personally make sure that the notebook is being serviced.
Conclusion
Time was wasted and based on the unpleasant experience, I am unlikely going to buy another Asus notebook in the future.
